The tale of Kalamkari Fabric! Ft.Navaratri Outfit Day two

by - October 03, 2019

I chose kalamkari saree as day two's outfit.
Kalamkari is one such fabric that has got a very unique and vibrant style.
The block printing technique has been found more than 2000 years ago and Kalamkari art is one of the famous block printing techniques.

Nine out of ten women pick up a kalamkari Saree which are light, crisp cotton and silk sarees that would never go out of trend.

These sarees have got beautiful prints on them. As in, the chapters of Ramayan and Mahabharata, prints of vegetables, flowers and so on!

The kalamkari sarees are weaved in Srikalahasti and Pedana Village from Machilipatnam.
The saree which I wore is from a village named Pedana which is located at machilipatnam.

Pedana Kalamkari is famous for vegetable block prints.
The kalamkari fabric is the cheapest among all the fabrics.
One meter cloth costs just Rs.100 and easily available everywhere.

This Kalamkari Saree is known to be a classic saree and has many takers right now, keeping the festive season in mind.
Not just millennials, but the baby boomers also love these sarees.
Every Damsel's choice is Kalamkari fabric when it comes to elegance and dignity.

Bohemian Jewelry goes very well with kalamkari fabric.
Being a sophisticated woman, I must say this combination is a time-bound fashion.

I paired up the saree with Bohemian chandbali hangings, a nose pin, and a long necklace which has got lord Venkatesan's Face as it's Lockett.
I curled up my hair to create a chic look.
A bindi completes the look like a festive one.

This is one such look that is available readily for everyone.
